Menu Plan Monday - Week of January 12, 2020

Crab legs and coleslaw for John's Birthday earlier this month.  
We are all back into our routines this week.  I take great comfort in routines and I am so grateful to be back into a regular routine.  John and I are trying to eat down our freezers and pantry this month (and hopefully into February too), so our menu may become more interesting as the month continues on.

Every year for John's Birthday, we buy crab legs. He considers this a birthday gift and they are typically on sale for the new year and so we can purchase them for a fairly reasonable (for here) price.  This year, my parents purchased them as John's birthday gift.  We look forward to this each year and the children are now quite adept at cracking crab legs and retrieving the meat. 

Here is what we are eating this week:

Sunday, January 12:
    Breakfast:  Mango Smoothies and Toast
    Lunch: Leftover Jambalaya
    Snack: Popcorn
    Dinner: Hard Shell Beef Tacos, Spinach Salad

Monday, January 13:
     Breakfast: Eggs and Toast
     Lunch: Leftover Tacos
     Snack: No Bake Energy Bites
     Dinner: Roasted Chicken and Potatoes, Green Beans

Tuesday, January 14:
     Breakfast: Maple Oat Scones, Oranges
     Lunch: Leftover Chicken and Potatoes
     Snack: Yogurt
     Dinner: Breakfast for Dinner: Waffles, Bacon and Sliced Apples

Wednesday, January 15:
      Breakfast: Oatmeal Muffins, Bananas
      Lunch: Spinach Salad with Walnuts, Chicken and Oranges
      Snack: No Bake Energy Bites
      Dinner: Fried Fish, Couscous, Coleslaw

Thursday,  January 16:
     Breakfast: Oatmeal with Nuts and Raisins
     Lunch: Leftover Fish and Couscous
     Snack: Yogurt
     Dinner: Stuffed Acorn Squash, Spinach Salad

Friday, January 17:
     Breakfast: Eggs and Toast
     Lunch: Leftover Squash
     Snack: No Bake Energy Bites
     Dinner: Homemade Pizza

Saturday, January 18:
     Brunch: Pancakes, Bacon and Sliced Apples
     Snack: Homemade Soft Pretzels
     Dinner: Hamburger Gravy, Noodles, Broccoli, Sliced Apples
     Dessert: Pineapple Tarts
