Menu Plan, um, Tuesday - Week of May 18th, 2014

Oh my - what a week or two.  Everything has been SO busy here and I'm grateful for so many things that have happened lately - but that's another post! We're still not shopping much - Mom and Dad have been treating us to a few things and the rest has been from the freezer and pantry.  We did buy milk and fruit last week - I had signed up to take a fruit salad for the teacher's thank you lunch at the children's school on Friday last week.  We got to eat the extra!  Mom and Dad went to a pot luck dinner with their friends on Sunday afternoon and came home with bread and fruit and they also bought 2 containers of frosting for my daughter's birthday cake on Sunday (Mom was making it and she didn't feel like making homemade). So here's what we're eating this week: Sunday, May 18th:     Breakfast: Peanut Butter Toast     Lunch: PB&J

Menu Plan Monday - Week of May 4, 2014

My maple glazed Brussels sprouts from a while back. Wow - I really didn't mean to take that much time away from blogging!!!  Silly me - every time I think things will calm down, they just get more exciting! We got our placement for Internship and John officially gains the title Vicar June 2.  We're pretty excited since we got our first choice (how often does that happen?!) and we have an idea of what our life will look like for the next 15 months.  The children get to attend VBS there free this summer so we're hoping they make a few friends to ease the transition.  Internship starts in 4 fast approaching weeks and many of our plans for stockpiling, and being totally "prepared" financially have fallen by the wayside due to other more urgent matters (but that's another post).  I'll be posting sporadically until June and then hopefully back to my regular (ha!) posting schedule. We haven't done much grocery shopping partly due to eating the freezer
