Menu Plan Monday - Week of April 17, 2016

We're so spoiled by these beautiful bulletin boards at church!  They make me smile every time I see them!
It's been a week and I'm happy that last week is done.  I was having a very bad shingles week and there were several other things that make us reschedule a sleepover for one of our children and just kept me home and quiet most of this weekend.

John and Buddy ran to the store this weekend and we kind of bought "whatever" and blew the grocery budget out of the water - not badly, but blown nonetheless.  I was totally okay with that since I was in enough pain that making anything was totally out of question and John has evening meetings many days this week so I'm happy to plan for "just in case" of having another week like the last one.  They bought mostly fruit but also bought lunch meat, bread, and cereal that the kids can easily get themselves if I'm not up to much this week.

Here's what we're eating this week:

Sunday, April 17:
   Breakfast: Cereal
   Lunch: Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Cut Veggies
   Snack At the Children's Piano Recital
   Dinner: Applesauce Chicken, Fried Potatoes, Sliced Pears

Monday, April 18:
   Breakfast: Eggs and Toast
   Lunch; Leftover Applesauce Chicken
   Snack: Cut Veggies
   Dinner: Sausage and Cabbage in the Crockpot, Apple-Banana-Cantaloupe Salad

Tuesday, April 19:
   Breakfast: Chai Spiced Oatmeal
   Lunch: Leftover Sausage and Cabbage
   Snack: Yogurt
   Dinner: Noodle with Tomato Sauce, Tossed Salad

Wednesday, April 20:
    Breakfast: Oatmeal Muffins, Smoothies
    Lunch: Leftover Noodles and Sauce
    Snack: Cut Veggies
    Dinner: Waffles with Applesauce, Scrambled Eggs

Thursday, April 21:
    Breakfast: Maple Oat Scones
    Lunch: Ham Sandwiches, Cut Veggies
    Snack: Yogurt
    Dinner: Vegetable Soup in the Crockpot, Homemade Bread, Sliced Apples and Pears

Friday, April 22:
   Breakfast: Waffles from the Freezer, Smoothies
   Lunch: Leftover Soup, Bread
   Snack: Soft Pretzels
   Dinner: Homemade Pizza and Breadsticks

Saturday, April 23:
    Breakfast: Pancakes with Blueberries, Scrambled Eggs
    Lunch: Salad with Tuna
    Snack: Soft Pretzels
    Dinner: Pulled Chicken, Buns, Tossed Salad, Fruit Salad
