Menu Plan - Week of July 14, 2019

I do not have any food photos right now - so you get to enjoy one of my roses!  They are beautiful this year but the aphids are hungry and I have been spending a lot of time taking care of the roses this year. I do think the blooms are wonderful this year and well worth the extra time!


We are receiving our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Box full of veggies and some fruit each week.   This week we received: Green Cabbage, Broccoli, Green Onions, Kale, three types of Lettuce, Turnips, Kohlrabi, Asparagus, Mint, Dill, Basil, Pea Pods, and Beets (Beet Root).   All sorts of delicious things but no fruit this week!  We received strawberries the last few weeks and should receive raspberries this week. I also harvested lettuce and string beans from our yard.

    Breakfast: Toast with Peanut Butter
    Lunch: Turkey Sandwiches, Cut Veggies
    Snack: Yogurt
    Dinner: Chicken Pot Pie with Beans, Carrots, and Corn


Monday, July 15, 2019:
    Breakfast: Bagels with Fried Eggs
    Lunch: Salad with Chicken
    Snack: Yogurt
    Dinner: Roasted Veggie Couscous, Tortilla Chips


Tuesday, July 16, 2019:
     Breakfast: Blueberry Scones
     Lunch: Leftover Couscous and Chips
     Snack: Cheese Sticks
     Dinner: Waffles with Strawberries and Blueberries, Scrambled Eggs


Wednesday, July 17, 2019:
    Breakfast: Oatmeal Muffins, Strawberry Banana Smoothies
    Lunch: Leftover Couscous and Chips
    Snack: Yogurt
    Dinner: Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Cut Veggies


Thursday, July 18, 2019:
    Breakfast: Egg and Toast
    Lunch: Salad with Chicken
    Snack: Cheese Sticks
    Dinner: Sausage, Potatoes, Cabbage


Friday, July 19, 2019:
    Breakfast: Bagels, Strawberry Banana Smoothies
    Lunch: Leftover Sausage with Potatoes and Cabbage
    Snack: Yogurt
    Dinner: Homemade Pizza


Saturday, July 20, 2019:
    Brunch: Maple Oat Scones, Scrambled Eggs, Strawberry-Peach-Blueberry Salad
    Snack: Homemade Soft Pretzels
    Dinner: Grilled Shrimp, Asparagus, Turnips and Kohlrabi
    Dessert: Zucchini Dessert Bars
