Our Easter Morning Table This Year

Happy Easter!   I hope everyone who celebrated had a wonderful holiday!  We did, though now John is completely exhausted and taking a few days off for a well-deserved rest.  Our weather was perfect and we enjoyed two meals with friends - I had to do no cooking or baking, other than what I chose to do!  Lovely.

We have a refrigerator full of leftovers (thanks to our friends and a meal at church) this week, so we are trying to finish those up.  I am grateful for that, too.

Spring term is almost over here at school and Summer term starts almost immediately after.  Our children will "graduate" from 8th grade in a few weeks.  They were able to spend a day over the Easter holiday "shadowing" at the high school they will attend next year.  They had an enjoyable day, meeting new friends and attending classes.  They are very excited about their new school now and I am very grateful!  They have been at the same school with mostly the same group of people since Kindergarten and, after nine years, change is a little scary!

      Lunch: At a Friend's Home
      Dinner: At another Friend's Home
      Dessert:  Carrot Spice Cake

Monday, April 22, 2019, Holy Monday:
     Breakfast: Cinnamon Rolls, Scrambled Eggs, Mango-Banana Smoothies
     Lunch: Leftovers
     Snack: Crackers and Cheese
     Dinner: Chicken Divan, Noodles, Strawberry-Blackberry-Grape Salad

Tuesday, April 23, 2019:
     Breakfast: Cinnamon Rolls,  Sliced Strawberries
     Lunch: Crackers and Cheese, Tomato Soup
     Snack: Carrot Spice Cake
     Dinner: Pork Loin, Roasted Carrots and Potatoes

Wednesday, April 24, 2019:
     Breakfast: Eggs, Mango-Banana Smoothies
     Lunch: Leftover Chicken Divan
     Snack: Carrot Spice Cake
     Dinner: Rice Bowl with Spinach and Mushrooms

Thursday, April 25, 2019:
     Breakfast: Oatmeal Muffins, Strawberries
     Lunch: Salad with Leftover Pork Loin
     Snack: Carrot Spice Cake
     Dinner: Hamburger Gravy over Noodles, Spinach Salad

Friday, April 26, 2019:
     Breakfast: Eggs and Toast
     Lunch: Leftover Gravy and Noodles
     Snack: Carrot Spice Cake
     Dinner: Homemade Pizza and Breadsticks

Saturday, April 27, 2019:
     Breakfast: Blueberry-Banana Smoothies
     Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches, Apples, Carrot Sticks, Carrot Spice Cake
     Snack: At an Event
     Dinner: Out Between Events
