Christmas Eve 2014

It's really hard for me to believe we're already here....

But I guess we are .....

The krumkaka has been made....

So is the lefse....

We put up the decorations....

Decorated the tree....

Put up the Nativity....

 Now we wait....

And the waiting is nearly over...

Wishing you a Merry Christmas filled with joy and love and family.

  1. I don't know what lefse and krumkaka are, but they look like something I'd like to try. :)

    1. Sorry for the delay in posting your comment Helen! I've been trying to stay off the computer and enjoy some family time.

Lesfe is basically a potato tortilla - there's at least two kinds, and we make the flat, skinny kind (the other is puffy). And Krumkaka are crispy cookies made in a griddle to press the design in and then rolled. They are often served stuffed with whipped cream and fresh fruit, though we do eat them plain too. Both are holiday favorites here.

Happy New Year to you and yours!
