Menu Plan Monday - Week of June 22, 2014


A plate full of sliced tomatoes and lettuce for BLTs last summer!  I'm SO looking forward to garden-fresh tomatoes this year!  I'm hoping for quite a few.

 
I'm having a hard time believing that it's almost July already - next week is Independence Day already!  I'm SO not ready for that!  We officially kicked off summer on Saturday with the children and John going to the parade for one of the local festivals here.  The children came home with an entire grocery bag full of candy!  Yikes!  And John came home with an awful sunburn.  Double Yikes!  Either way, they had a good time.  I woke up with a puffy, swollen face - thank you sinuses! - so I stayed home and slept for a bit.  I felt better so I guess that means we all had a good time.

Sunday, June 22:
   Breakfast: Cereal and Milk
   Lunch: At a Friend's House (they served chicken, salad, and watermelon - yum!)
   Snack: Candy *UGH*
   Dinner: Tossed Salad with Pepperoni, Biscuits, Watermelon and Cantaloupe
 
 
Monday, June 23:
   Breakfast: Pancakes with Walnuts and Bananas
   Lunch: Homemade Pizza Twists, Tossed Salad
   Snack: Ginger Cookies
   Dinner: Veggie Stir Fry, Rice, Pear-Banana-Mandarin Orange Salad
 
 
Tuesday, June 24:
    Breakfast: Oatmeal with Blueberries and Cinnamon
    Lunch:  Leftover Pizza Twists, Tossed Salad
    Snack: Ginger Cookies
    Dinner: Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce, Tossed Salad, Garlic Bread
 
 
Wednesday, June 25:
    Breakfast: Oatmeal Muffins, Bananas
    Lunch: PB&J, Carrot Sticks and Tomatoes, Ginger Cookies
    Snack: Yogurt
    Dinner: Pot Luck: Bring Tossed Salad
 
 
Thursday, June 26:
     Breakfast: Chai Spiced Oatmeal
     Lunch:  Chicken Noodle Soup, Biscuits, Bananas
     Snack: Yogurt
     Dinner: Beef Tips in the Crock pot, Rice, Tossed Salad, Fruit
 
 
Friday, June 27:
    Breakfast: Cranberry Orange Scones
    Lunch: Leftovers, Yogurt
    Snack: Yogurt
    Dinner: Scrambled Eggs, Waffles and Bacon, Fruit
 
 
Saturday, June 28:
    Brunch: Leftover Scones, Smoothies, Sliced Fruit
    Snack: Popcorn, Ginger Cookies
    Dinner:  Homemade Pizza and Bread sticks
