Menu Plan Monday - Week of January 16, 2011

John's birthday desert! Yum!

We're still plugging away at the pantry challenge here and we are doing very well I might add.  We had some unexpected 'treats' as well - Pizza last night courtesy of a coupon for a free pizza from our favorite pizza place and a trip to IKEA on Saturday meant we ate there (love those Swedish Meatballs!) instead of home.  The trip to IKEA was from our "Recreation" category of our budget, so we didn't touch the bit I have left in our monthly grocery budget this time around.  It's been wonderful to take stock and see what I can do with what's in the cupboards and freezer!  Not to mention, using some things up is a good thing too!
